Manguerito is the piece where it all began — the original work that gave birth to the Trays & Bowls collection at Madera Zeledon.
Carved from a Melina tree that burned from the inside out, this live-edge fruit bowl carries a natural branch handle formed by the tree itself during its growth. No construction, no assembly — the handle is simply where the tree decided to branch.
The surface reveals the full story of the wood: concentric growth rings radiating from the center, deep natural grain lines, and a warm golden tone that shifts to amber and violet at the edges. Each mark is a year. Each ring is a season.
Designed originally as a place to ripen mangoes, it works beautifully as a fruit bowl, a serving platter, or a sculptural centerpiece on any table.
