My name is Leonardo Zeledón Carrillo.
I am a wood and stone artist based in Heredia,
Costa Rica — son of Néstor Zeledón Guzmán,
a recognized Costa Rican visual artist.
Madera Zeledón was born from a family legacy
rooted in the land of Guanacaste. The trees I work
with were planted more than thirty years ago by my
father at our family farm, Loma Bonita de Nicoya.
I design and hand-shape each piece individually
using professional tools. No molds. No mass
production. Every piece is one of a kind —
once it's gone, it will never exist again.
The growth rings you see in each piece are years
of rain and sun in Guanacaste. I simply reveal
what was already there.
