Madera Zeledón was born from a family legacy rooted in three generations of artists.

My father, Néstor Zeledón Guzmán (1933–2025), was one of Costa Rica's most significant sculptors, winner of the Premio Nacional de Cultura Magón, the country's highest cultural honor, and founding member of Grupo 8, the movement that introduced abstract art to Costa Rica.

He planted the trees at our family farm, Loma Bonita de Nicoya, more than thirty years ago.

Today, I transform those same trees into art; carrying forward a legacy shaped by his hands, his vision, and his life.
